Inarticulate and weird, that's how I'd describe Somebody. I generally like South Korean series but this one is lacking, for me, on several related fronts. There's no clearly articulated wider story, made worse by disjointed narrative and ambiguous, often limited, character development. Regrettably, more woke-ness, leaves a vague sense of being lectured, rather than "just entertained", too. Really, the only places this series partly succeeds, in this reviewers opinion, is the core idea the story is based upon and the acting. The essential social media/crime driven conceptualisation is genuinely interesting and could have worked, with more conservative handling of the story which grows from it. Acting is of a high standard too. Characters are believable, just difficult to relate to. In summary, this series strikes me as being too experimental and ambitious, for its own good. It could have worked, with a more structured story, narrative and character development.
