Based on a video game of the same name Twisted Metal is zany enough to entertain but as we see so often, entertainment comes in a distant second, to "the message". The likeable main male character is always in the feminist rear vision mirror. As, indeed, are most pivotal male characters in this series. Its a shame too, as there's enough Mad Max meets Monty Python, on offer here, to be genuinely entertaining. In summary, weirdly watchable but the incessant need to push the politics of gender, is downright tiresome.
